The Indian Premier League 2025 mega auction was held on the 24th and 25th of November, 2024 which left a huge impression on the cricket community. Around 182 players were sold in the two-day IPL 2025 mega auction for 639.15 crore rupees. On 24th November, Day 1 almost 72 players were sold for Rs. 467.95 crores, while the other players were picked on the 25th of November, Day 2.

Some Of The Top Bids Of The Auction
Rishabh Pant has created history by gaining the title of the Indian Premier League’s most expensive player, winning the bidding around Rs 27.75 crore. After recovering from a car accident injury in 2022, Pant has joined Lucknow Super Giants.
Shreyas Iyer was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 26.75 crore who earlier this year was in Kolkata Knight Riders and helped them to win their third IPL title.
Venkatesh Iyer was acquired by Kolkata Knight Riders for a staggering amount of Rs. 23.5 Crore, making him the highest-paid all-rounder in IPL history.
Heinrich Klaasen was bought by Sunrise Hyderabad for Rs. 23 crores.
Arshdeep Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal went for Rs. 18 crore each to Punjab Kings.
KL Rahul was sold to Delhi Capitals at Rs. 14 crores.

Mumbai Indians: Acquired Green for ₹17.5 crore, whose deal dominated the headlines alongside other tactical picks like Will Jacks.
Lucknow Super Giants: Retaining Nicholas Pooran and ensuring Rishabh Pant was bought for ₹27 crore was their expensive bid and aggressive approach.
Delhi Capitals: They focused on retaining their core team structure after KL Rahul’s new journey was onboarded.
